Insulation: The insulation shall be an aromatic polyimide tape with an adhesive layer on one or both sides to bond the insulation to the exposed conductor. The covering shall be one or two strips of tape wrapped spirally around the wire. After wrapping, the tape shall be heat sealed. After the heat sealing process is complete, the adhesive shall perform as well as the polyimide tape with a heat rating of 240.
